B1 Dutch language course
Are you looking to elevate your Dutch language skills? Our practical B1 Dutch language Course is a continuation of the A1 and A2 levels. This individualized course focuses on enhancing both your spoken and written Dutch skills. Apart from vocabulary acquisition, the emphasis is also on sentence structures, verb forms, and tenses. After completing this course, you'll understand the main ideas from texts commonly found in work, school, or leisure settings. Moreover, you'll be able to clearly articulate your thoughts, experiences, and goals.

Why Choose Our B1 Dutch Language Course?

Who Is This Course For?
This course is ideal for anyone at the A2 level who wishes to improve their Dutch language skills further. If you require Dutch for work or studies, the B1 level is highly recommended. The B1 Dutch language course is equivalent to an MBO 4 level (Secondary vocational education).
Course Structure
You will not only learn the necessary words, phrases, and sentences for various themes and topics, but you will also practice the correct sentence structures, verb forms, and tenses to effectively speak and write in Dutch. These are practiced during the lessons, in the textbooks, and in the online learning environment. The following themes are covered:
- Theme 1: Who Are You?
- Theme 2: Health
- Theme 3: Environment
- Theme 4: Money
- Theme 5: Work
- Theme 6: Education
- Theme 7: Safety
- Theme 8: Living Together
- Theme 9: Back to Work
- Theme 10: Media
Certification
Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive a certificate detailing the completed themes, in addition to a Proof of Participation.
Exam
The state exam is not included. You can, however, take the state exam based on this program, but you will need to register yourself.
Study Load
The course involves 18 contact sessions of 1.5 hours each. In addition, you will spend approximately 3 to 5 hours on homework each week. The lessons are intensive, enabling you to quickly master the Dutch B1 level.
Further Study
After successfully completing the B1 Dutch course, you can progress to B2 Dutch. Just like B1, the B2 course involves individual sessions with the instructor combined with an online learning program. Upon completing the B2 Dutch course, you can take the NT2 Programme II state exam, which is not included in the course.
During the course, you will practice four language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Additionally, vocabulary, grammar, and spelling are extensively covered. Our practical courses are closely aligned with real-world applications, enabling you to swiftly attain the B2 Dutch level. The B2 course is equivalent to an HBO (Higher professional education) level.
